CATL, a leading battery technology company, has announced the launch of their new electric vehicle, Ideal MEGA, which boasts a peak charging rate of 5C and can charge to 80% in just 12 minutes. The vehicle will be available for purchase in December with a price range of over $50 million. It features a high-performance power semiconductor, a wide temperature range thermal management system, and an 800V supercharged pure electric solution. The battery has a capacity of 100kWh, charging power of 500 kilowatts, and charging time of 9 minutes and 30 seconds for a distance of 400 kilometers, which is a 50% reduction in charging time compared to a 2C battery. The Ideal MEGA also includes advanced driver assistance systems such as automatic navigation and an autonomous driving system that can handle the entire charging process without human intervention. Additionally, CATL plans to build over 300 supercharging stations by 2023 and 3,000 stations by 2025 to create a comprehensive charging network for electric vehicles. The vehicle's aggressive "bullet"-like design measures over 5.3 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 1.8-1.9 meters tall, making it larger than other electric vehicles on the market. The interior features a spacious cabin with a large windshield, three-row seating for up to seven passengers, and a bold and futuristic front face with multiple sensors and a large display screen.
