Northern lights maps predict where you may see them in Michigan on Saturday, Sunday

The Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) could be visible again in Michigan, including metro Detroit, on Saturday and Sunday nights if clouds cooperate. The National Weather Service predicts that the aurora will be visible in mid to northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, with the green oval on the map indicating visibility and the red oval indicating more intense displays. While weather conditions are expected to be mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms, there is still a chance to see the Northern Lights due to their ability to be observed from over 600 miles away when the aurora is bright. The best time to view the Northern Lights is between 10pm and 2am.
