We tested two samples of the same product and found chemical levels differed by an average of 59%. We also tested triplicate samples from the same batch and found differences of 33%. Thermal receipt paper contains phthalates, phthalate substitutes, and bisphenols, which can migrate to hands. Water samples showed high levels of BPS, exceeding the lab's calibration range. Although no intake limit is set for BPS, it has been shown to have endocrine-disrupting effects similar to BPA.
