Bruce Lehrmann has admitted that he bought drinks for Brittany Higgins on the night she alleges she was raped, despite previously telling the court he could not recall doing so. He also acknowledged that he was wrong when he told the court he didn't remember buying drinks for anyone else. The admission came after Mr. Lehrmann's inability to recall certain details prompted the court to briefly adjourn the hearing. Network Ten and journalist Lisa Wilkinson are suing Mr. Lehrmann over an interview on The Project in which Ms. Higgins alleged she was raped by Mr. Lehrmann inside Parliament House in Canberra in 2019. Mr. Lehrmann has denied the allegation and is suing for defamation.
